DampRid HPoo & Laser Thermometers to Determine PC Pressure

Two more strange questions...
1) Drying out HPoo is going to be difficult at my place. Outside is out of the question. Inside is also dicey because I have friends over all the time and you know what they say -- tell one person, might as well tell twenty.
Has anyone tried to use DampRid (or some other type of desiccant) to dry out hpoo? I could pull it off if I stored the hpoo in a Sterilite but of course it wouldn't dry without the DampRid.
2) I plan on getting a new pressure cooker but I don't think it'll have a PSI indicator. I do happen to have one of those IR thermometers that can register 0-400F. I seem to remember a technique that would let you determine internal PSI of a PC by the external temperature.
Can anyone point me to such a technique/formula?

No. 15 PSI is around 250F, but you want to get a PC with a pressure gauge. You don't need to 'dry' horse manure. It needs to field age for six months to a year, at which time it will already be bone dry. You break it up and add water, then pasteurize. There should also be zero smell because the manure has been field aged and dried. RR

you can also order from tennessee stud if it has to be so stealthy. Or just set it out inside and stick a heater on it and dont have people over. Go out instead. I guess people are just used to me not letting them come over.

my pc has no pressure gauge it just hisses when the pressure is too high so its a balancing act. but thats 15 psi it runs at temp doesn't matter. well it does but i couldn't care less about the exact if its at 15 psi for the 70 mins. never had a problem sicne i got the pc.

Crap. I guess my "free horse manure" isn't so useful then.
Is there anything that comes close to manure as far as a substrate material goes? It seems to be the best stuff judging by the posts I see.

well how old is it. You could leach it rapidly. Say put it in how water for an hr till it is full hydrated then strain and put in more hot water and repeat. That should get some ammonia out if its not too green. If its fresh your screwed. I would just go tennessee stud.

Coffee grinds, coir and worm castings all make good substrate. You can mix in a bit of the steer manure from the store with it. The more different things you mix together, the better. Cut with verm to make it loose. RR
