I very likely will not have access to hpoo like I had thought.
I'd really appreciate it if the heavy-hitters in this forum could weight in on this question...
What is the next-best thing to hpoo (or any poo, for that matter)? I plan on doing Ecuadoar on WBS in a tub-in-tub setup.

A mixture of bagged compost from the garden center, worm castings, coffee grinds and coir works well. If it seems heavy, cut it with ten to twenty percent verm. Use ten percent gypsum, and lime to a ph of 8 or so. I've used this recipie for years in the winter when horse manure is too wet to bring home. RR

Compost is excellent mushroom substrate. If that's not available you can use straw for bulk grows.
