here are a few pics of the casings i just put in my martha (2/3 COIR, 1/3 VERM.) these are my 1st casings so i am experimenting half of them patched then incubated a couple more days and the other half i didn't do anything to. the only problem i have is keeping the humidity up more then 90% i have a cool mist running 24/7 on the low setting and a ultrasonic running for 30 min. 4 times a day. should i run the ultrasonic more? or will that cause to much moisture???

From what i've read in the past, 2/3 coir in a casing is WAY too much... but i could be wrong here.
Seems like most people agree it should only be like 30%, otherwise you get overlay problems.

is my humidity to much at 90%? for some reason i thought it had to be like 95% - 100% for pinning then drop it down a little after that for fruiting. if anyone else has a setup like mine let me know what works best for you...

I only run my coolmist and my taylor 1458 reads 90% all the time.
If I were you, I would only run your ultrasonic for 3-5 minutes every now and then to keep the casings from drying out, but don't go overboard.

again these are my 1st casings and i wanted to get some input to see if this is normal... here is a pic from yesterday when i put them in my FC

and 24hr. later

i have another few that look like this that i put a very thin patch layer on but can someone tell me if this is normal or the beginning of overlay? i only put a top casing layer on this one if that makes a difference

The casing you have there will have little benefit compared to using no casing at all. You want the casing to look like this before pinning:

See how it's colonized but not overlaid.
