Potency of potent strain mycelium ?

Hello All fellow Freaks, This is my first post/query, so please forgive me if this is an old question, already answered. I just need to know if the potential potency of the spore-prints/cultures parent mushroom, for instance, a P.azurescens print, bears much on the potency of it's mycelium, grown as in Adam Gottlieb's book 'Psilocybin Production' ??? strictly for the purpose of extraction.. I also want to give a big thanks to all of you for bringing the art of mushroom growing to the point where its at today, cutting edge science, without all you enthusiasts, like so many spores, the sacred mushroom would still be merely an annual treat, not the multi-cultural feast it is today.. everyone deserves Big Pats on the back... Thanks again-[and if I've done anything incorrectly, please advise and it wont happen again] Cheers Hoodz..............

Your question is a bit confusing. Are you asking if genetic traits like potency are passed down though spores? Well the answer to that is not simple. But I can tell you that if you are growing using a multi-spore inoculation then you are always going to get random genetics. The only way to us consistent genetics is to isolate a culture on agar and use that for your grows.
It also seems like you may be asking if the spores themselves contain any active chemicals. The answer to that is simple. No. That is why they remain legal.
It's so easy the ingest the actives in mushrooms just by eating them. Without ingesting any other harmful of unwanted material. I don't understand why anyone would bother with an extraction if they are simply looking to experience psychedelics.

I realize there are no actives in the spores themselves, but was curious as to whether a potent strains spores, though producing multi-genetic ed 'shrooms', would produce an 'over-all' potent batch of mycelium. And in relation to extraction versus actual mushroom ingestion, it's simply a matter of 'not' being able to grow to full maturity where I'm currently residing, and mycelium production for the purpose of obtaining Psilocybin/Psilocin seems to be 'Maybe??'the next best thing. I'm not even 100% sure that mycelium 'can' be used for the purpose of an entheogenic experience/s, so would also love to hear from any people who have followed Adam Gottlieb's book or simply experimented with this line of thinking themselves. Thanks for my first reply,Musher_420 , and Keep up this most important work. Hoodz.........

Well, there are flushes which keep growing the mushrooms, you'll probably get more psilocybin through the mushrooms.. and eating mycelium is grose.
