I don't think these are active and have no clue about edibility... Iam just curious about what they might be.
The pictures are better descriptors than anything i can say but...
cap is about 1" stem is 2" (the older rotting caps flattened out to about 3"), cap is very wrinkly (stupid camera focused on wrong thing)
gills are very black and so is the spore print (only printed about 4h)
no noticeable bruising
appears to only be growing in close proximity to that tree, not sure of type as its got no leaves maybe an oak (not a conifer though)
found in eugene, or

Coprinus species, most likely C. micaceus or similar...

thx, they aren't poisonous i assume as c micaceus arent and they are probably close... not planning on eating them... just in case i get trapped in the wild
