Southern Sweet Tea

Oh, how I miss it so.
I can't seem to find a decent glass of Iced Tea around here. I was born and raised on southern sweet tea.
I keep making the mistake of ordering it at restaurants, and I usually just get a glass of unsweetened tea, when I order sweet tea.
Or, I'll get the question, "Are you from the South? We don't normally get anyone ordering that here."
What the hell? I always thought people ordered tea at restaurants. Now, the best place for tea has to be "The Beacon" in upstate SC. I'm sure Stonerguy knows what I'm talking about. Best tea ever.

When I get iced tea at restaurants, I just pour like 5 sugar packets in it. That works for me.

Yeah, being in the restaurant buisnes, I get that alot. I am in the south and I will get people from the north alot. They always order "iced tea" and I say "sweet, or unsweet" to which they usually reply, "Oh, we are in the south, right?" To which I usually reply(in my mind)"Yeah, you fucking wankin yank!"
Sweet tea rocks!
How are things?

Yea, I'm also in the restaurant game. I always get a bunch of Southern people asking for better tea.
Things be going just fine. Got back from the gym and steam room. Feel great. Always like blazing a bowl once I get back.

You should try Arizona's southern style sweet iced tea. It's quite possible my favorite drink to get. And they come in HUGE can's for like 99 cents, you just can't go wrong with that.

That's definitely a good choice. I like the green tea w/ ginseng more though. The best one ever was the Arnold Palmer's. I can't find them anywhere now. They have them by you?

No no no, the southern sweet tea that isn't produced in a factory or like Arizona sweet tea, is made by some old hag. Don't get me wrong Arizona sweet tea is good, but you just cant beat home maid sweet tea!

I know what the main focus is here. I just had find out if the Arnold Palmer drinks from Arizona still exist anywhere.
I make my own sweet tea in the summer. Not sure how it compares to the old hag version, but I think I do well.

Yep, I'm referring to home-made teas. Just like the Beacon. They have the best tasting tea EVER. The Beacon is badass.
Seriously, you go to order down long buffet line and there's these ancient, black guys screaming at you. Shit is being thrown at you and somehow you manage to make it to the end with all of your order and then pay. Damn cheap. Most huge meals are $5.
I'd get a Double Chili-Cheese Hamburger with a huge plateful of fries and onion-rings. Called, "A Chili-cheese a-plenty" Get that a suck down about a gallon of the tea.
Best place for the munchies ever.
