I know there are people out there who swear by these guys, but my experience was terrible. I sent in a print of Allen strain and the required fee and got nothing. Three months and still waiting. I'll never do that again.

Got a few prints from them. I'd recommend FSRC if you're not in a hurry.
The guy isn't making any money doing this, it's just a public service. So don't expect next day service!
Wronguy, you should send him a PM. He responded to my PMs the same day...

fastest was 2 weeks longest was just shy of a month. havn't used it since the cost went from a buck to two though. shame about that but hell its stilla great deal. and its best if you donate prints and get another for free i think you have to donate 3 or 4. fsrcanada is the true comunity. NON-profit just for the love of the hobby.

I guess they figure you can make more syringes yourself out of a spore print.

That's a fact. I can easily get 10 syringes out of a large print, 4-5 if I make them super dark.

thought i'd chime in. it took a month or two and the print i got was terribly prepaired. it was on like...comic book backing cardboard and it was almost impossible to make syringes of. most of the spores are in the ziploc baggie. that's what you get when you order from a company that gets all their prints from others.

well its not a company its a guy and you paid ONE dollar for it or maybe 2 so i don't see how you can compalain. oh i got this burger out of the trash and its cold. well no kidding haha. when the ziploack has teh spores just fill it up with syrings water like you would a shot glass and presto you have a spore syringe. i made 3 out of one faint print from the fsrcanada. this was when i didn't know what i was doing they all worked so...
EDIT: by the way i hate seeing poeple rag on the fsrc. the guy doesn't make any money he just does it to spread teh joy. you want a print in a week pay the 15 bucks US. you want one for 2 bucks wyou can wait. i wish more people were down with doing what is good not what is profitable the world would be a better place.

I've been waiting about 5-1/2 weeks....nothing yet. I did notice their web site hasn't been updated since around February 14th.
It's only 2 bucks, but it would be nice to get the print I sent off for.

I requested a print, even sent Canadian money hehehe. after a while i just shot him a pm, he asked me to remind him of what i wanted. I did. one week later...got my print. Fuck the doods prolly a stoner like most of us!!! I know i sit there and think "man i should knock up them jars" or "I should do the dishes." but it takes a lot to get me motivated. Then i forget. maybe he is the same way??

Hmmm... interesting. Good comments and bad. Thought I should chime in.
First of all. I send out 80 - 100 prints a week lately. Many times, we run very low on prints and have to wait a dew days for more to come in. (with all those prints going out... you would think more would be coming in) Oh Well!
Generally it should take 2 - 3 weeks from the time you mail your request, to the time you recieve it. BUT... I have no control of the mail service speeds. So... if you haven't recieved your reqest in 3 - 4 weeks, PM me here or email me at shdwstr@fsrcanada and I'll see what I can tell you. And if your wondering, I do keep minimal records for about 4 weeks after a print is sent, They consist of Name/Forum Name, State/City, and print sent. Sometime shortly after 4 weeks, the list gets shredded and goes in the composter. If you guys wait 3 or 4 months, then come on here bitching, it's your own fault, for not contacting me in 3 or 4 weeks. I make every effort I can to fill all requests, as soon as possible.
One last thing. I think you should all know that the bulk of all the prints that get sent out is due to the generosity of only 6 major contibutors. If it weren't for them. The FSRC would be GONE! They wish to remain anonymous, for obvious reasons, but they all have my deepest thanks.
I started the FSRC cause I loved the hobby. If you love the hobby, and want the FSRC to continue... Donate! It's that simple. Every Donation Helps.
Thanks Shdwstr

There have been a few U.S. based FSR's. including Ralph's original FSR. The FSRCanada has the added advantage of being able to ship, where a U.S. based FSR couldn't, due to certain U.S. state laws. Most of our requests are from the U.S.

do you have to declare an envelope contents to customs or is that only a package? i know spore trade happens between borders all the time without problems but i'm paranoid... i'm all about donations but i'm all about not raising any eyebrows as well.

If you individually bag your prints in mini ziploks (cardstock prints), you can get about 10 or 12 in a regular envelope. If they are just on foil you can get 40 or 50 in that same envelope and no customs sticker is needed. Just be sure to get it wieghed for the correct postage. If you send your prints in a padded envelope, it will require a customs sticker. Most I see are labeled "Printed Material" or "Educational Printed Material" or even "Prints - Photos", it's a stretch, but pretty much true. Value $5.00 or less, Sent as a gift or sample.
If your in Canada, and sending a large padded envelope filled with prints... no customs sticker is needed at all. Just always remember to get your package wieghed for the correct postage.
Ok... I'll watch for all those large envelopes now
