ok, i have an ecommerse website i want to do using a page that will never need to fully refresh. obviously, AJAX will be the way to accomplish this.
so, i am here to ask you guys to provide me with a little accountability. i need to learn javascript. i have 3 books to get me started. if anyone can give me any pointers to get started on the right path using javascript, it would be appreciated.
as i get through portions of these books in the next few days, i will probably pop back into this thread and ask for help. any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
i am starting with, "JavaScript: The Definitive Guide, 4th Edition" By David Flanagan.
after that will be, "O'Reilly - Java Script And DHTML Cookbook"
then, "Manning, Ajax in Action"
and finally, "OReilly - Ajax Hacks Tips and Tools for Creating Responsive Web Sites Mar 2006"
if any of ya'll have read any of these book, were they any good?

if you want to see where i am at, check my journal. if you refresh every 30 minutes or so, you should see progress.

ajax is good for bathtub and tile cleaning i usually make it into a paste like conistency and use steel wool or a rough sponge for those more delicate surfaces. be sure to rinse well and remember it bleaches clothes! - for real tho, good luck w/ your venture -
