well first of all i would like to thank whoever invented the double tub, then roger rabbit for his contribution on wax paper casings, i made the piece of wax paper too long so the mushrooms couldn't push it up but they certainly grew just as well sideways. this is 50/50 5lbs horse poo/vermiculite spawned with 3 grain based mycobags, in a double tub, with a wax paper casing(just put a piece of wax paper on top of the colonized poo) strain is pink buffalo i will post dry weights once i have them probably in a couple days, i am very greatful to this site whom of which none of this would be possible. "we did it!" -peace

Glad you got a nice flush. Technically, the wax paper isn't a casing, but it does hold in moisture to make a nice micro-climate for the mushies to pin and grow in. RR

the wax paper was too long so it was being held down by the sides , i guess from sticking to the condensation, therefore they couldn't push it up and grew down low. the double tub is an self automated environment i spent probably 45 minutes doing everything for it including the spawning, you should definitely do a search for some posts on it, couldn't get any simpler peace

you dont have to have any apparatus like perlite or a cool mist in a double tub setup. The casing provides plenty of moisture for the shroooms to grow. double tubs rock.
