Anyone else like these?

I used to eat these constantly.

I like the teriyaki ones better though...

Never even heard of them. Just peas with wasabi?

I had some wasabi-ginger wings the other day, and they weren't what I thought they'd be.

Man I LOVE those things. Can't get enough. I eat them by the handful and end up getting watery eyes, my mouth feels like it's on fire... haha it's great shit though. I thought I was one of the few who actually ate those.

yeah, wasabi peas are excellent, and a grocery store nearby sells them in bulk too. they definately make a great snack, and are an excellent trail food as well. often i will have them in powdered cheese soup while camping, as they add good texture, and spice the soup up quite a bit.

Maybe I'll do one for my birthday or something.

wasabi peas rock. you're not really eating them unless the crumbs are falling out of your mouth and tears are streaming down your face.

once you've grown accustomed to the peas graduate to the peanuts!

Hell yeah.. haha. I've had the peanuts too, those things are hardcore. I don't really em as much though. The wasabi layer sure as hell is think on them though. They remind me of the peanut MnM's only with wasabi instead of chocolate.

i wonder that often. color turns me off for a lot of things. just about everything has frickin' color in it nowadays. even scarier, imo, is phenols, aka smells. it is feasible to treat a turd with color and phenols and trick you into believing you're eating a canoli.
funny how your doodoo stays brown. unless it's kool-aid or lucky charms.

Wasabi peas are awesome. Then again I'm also a sushi freak. There is a large asian population in Boston so they aren't very hard to find at all. Heck, my nearby (regular) supermarket has them.

Wasabi peanuts are pretty much the asian version of atomic fireballs. Wicked yummy.

the peanuts are typically harder to find than the peas but if you're looking at the peas the peanuts will be next to them if the store carries them.

debian,

excellent name. I run debian too. Sometimes slack, generally deb. I know there is better package management out there (gentoo?) but I've been using deb for so long...

Good to see another 'nix fan out here.

the hardest wasabi kick i have ever had was putting a huge gob of wasabi in soy sauce and then drenching daikon radish in it. fuck, that hurts. that hurts worse than the time i ate an entire spoonful of wasabi... slowly... on a dare.

yeah, the soy breaks it up and spreads it around and gets it to stick all over your mouth but i swear daikon adds some kind of super amplification to it.

Fuck yea it does!

The first time I tried wasabi/soy sauce was when I was tripping really hard on 8 1/2 dry g's of shrooms and my asian friends mixed in a glob that would fit into a 20oz soda cap w/ some sauce and told me that it was an elixer that would further me into my journey toward happiness....little did I know asians are tricky! Bastards!
