why do shrooms in the wild grow SOOO much faster and get bigger than the ones in your house? Is there any way to make them grow like they do in the wild, but artificially like we do??? I really wanna try because I live in fla and growing outdoors wouldnt be a problem

Thats something Ive always wondered myself. In the wild, they just pop up in the space of a few hours after a rain it seems. But can take a week indoors. WIERD

Why does marihuana grow bigger outdoors than in your closet in a pot and artificial light?

Why does a lemon tree grow better outside than in your terrace?

Outside any kind of growing thing has a much bigger amount of space (i.e. more mycelium underground) nutrients, etc which mean it has a bigger energy reserve to grow. And since mushroom bodies grow by pumping up their cells with water, this can be done very fast and if the primordia are just under the surface it can appear to grow from nowhere overnight.

Also have in mind the time factor. The same as growing cannabis indoors will give you a plant in two/three months while outdoors it takes better part of a year, the shrooms outdoors have taken all year to prepare for fruiting while your indoor grows will have had around a month or so, depending on your technique.

At least this is my private theory.

But oh yeah, they seem to pop up over night, but there is sooooo much that you don't see. Plus: it's mother nature man, we are amateur mycologists...if that. Hell, I'm just a street kid playing with fungus.

Nothing beats Mother Nature...Nothing. If we could do better, we'd have a message board on how to live forever, not how to grow something that she's already perfected. MushroomJohn has reportedly found cubes growing in the wild on water buffalo/elephant dung as big as dinner plates. Show me one indoor grow that can consistently compete with that.
