Hey, that's a good question. I have often wondered the same thing. I bet you could find something at a "Home Depot-like" store. A sort of bag that can stand high temps and seal when needed. Then you could just cut a hole near the top and silicone a big piece of tyvek on that ho. Any one out there experimented with this sort of thing?

yeah... they're called oven bags, they're what people cook thanksgiving turkey in. :-)
they'll still melt if they touch the sides of your PC, there's been lots of ideas posted to prevent that from happening - putting them in a large tin can while PC'ing, inside a pillow case, lining the inside of the pc with an old towel... etc etc
by the time you buy them and rig up your filter patch you've spent about as much $$ and more time than just getting some pre-made ones, but if you don't want to order and wait for shipping it should work out just fine

I dont know if crock pot liners would work, you are bringing the bags to 250 degrees, well over boiling temperatures. I dont know what the crock pot ones are rated for but be carful with them. There is a reason the over bags are so expensive though, thin bags that hold up to 250 degrees arent cheap retail usually, thats why if crock pot bags are inexpensive, I'd imagine they wouldnt work.
You can always try and prove me wrong though

i once used a ziplock haha. as long as you fill the bag up completely and don't let it touch itself it could work. anywhere the bag touches however melts together. the bag worked but i don't think i'll do it again.
