Kind of confused

Okay. I have been brainstorming for the last couple of days. Here is what I've been thinking. There is a website called wunderground.com. It's the most comprehensive weather site I have ever found. It show 10 day forcasts and infinite histories of any specific area. I used to live in Dallas (not much luck there) and now go to school in eastern Oklahoma. I want to take a hunting trip and by using wunderground.com as a template and taking off.
So here's my question to all you EXPERIENCED hunters. How long does it have to rain for optimal hunts? It it true to go AFTER the dry day following the rain? Any good spots in central Texas or Lousiana, Southern An

I'm up in the northeast portion of Texas. Between Dallas and Shreveport. Whenever I get any rain, I'll go buy a cheapo digi cam and post my findings for you. This is one of the most fertile areas for mushrooms, but Its been weeks since we've seen rain, and will probably remain so

This site and others have some very good info. You should take some time and browse through this site, or research. This can take time - but for something like p. cubensis hunting, there really isn't a whole lot to know that a few quick searches cant tell you. After you successfully do it once, you should be good to go for many hunts to come.

That's what I was wondering. I used to know I guy back in Dallas who would come from Longview from time to time with pounds and pounds. I'm talking like in the 10-20 range semi dried. I think that Longview is where I will venture to once I see that it's been raining for a while.

Humidity is key to finding most mushrooms, including P. cubensis.
Usually the more often it rains the more mushrooms and Shrooms there will be to find.
If it rains almost every day of the week than chances are the pastures will be fruiting mushrooms.
If it rains only one day out of the week than your chances are much-much slimmer for finding the Shrooms.
During the summer i often watch The Weather Channel to monitor the rains in the area.
Eating Psilocybe cubensis is a good thing, and it is especially rewarding to eat the ones that you harvest yourself. So seeking this Shroom is well worth it in my opinion.
