I found these in the foothills of California in a popular horse park all within a 4 foot radius of a conifer tree. The sporeprint was a very slightly purple tinted brown.Sorry, I couldn't seem to get a good picture of the sporeprint.

Well, here's the best I can do. The pictures are horrible, but now that they've been drying a day the gills are almost pink, the stems are hollow, and they all have a distinct nipple, some more distinct then others.

Those look to be Entolomas, among the least well studied mushrooms. Many of them are very poisonous. Almost all of them are very difficult to identify accurately to species.
Happy mushrooming!

In the future, it helps to show pictures of all angles in your original post. Along with a better description of the spore print. That way we can help you out much quicker and be able to be more accurate. As far as those specimens go, I have to agree with ToxicMan.. my first thought was Entoloma as well. Some of the species in the genus are very pretty looking to me. They are dangerous of course but make good photos.

Thanks a million. I was almost sure they were P. semilanceata. Well I guess I'll just keep hunting!

The psilocybe purple brown spores will be a lot darker than those of entolomas. Most entoloma spore prints are described as pinkish. With some psilocybes it is so darkish that it's hard to even notice tones of purple under certain light. Semilanceatas are pretty much more skinny and brownish, sometimes fading to almost a straw color in the cap as it dries out.
