Re-inoculate?
    #5500224 - 04/10/06 03:23 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I have some jars that arent growing mycellium. Im not sure where i messed up on the PF-TEK, i dont think i waited long enough for the jars to cool. its been 2 weeks and no signs of growth or contamination. Could i just inject some more spores into them? Or should i start all over?

Put those somewhere dark and pc more jars. No use putting all your fruits in one basket. 2 weeks is a long time to see nothing, though. GL.

if its been 2 weeks with no signs of growth id just start over. if you use more spores and contam starts showing then you just wasted some spores.
more info would be needed to help pinpoint what the problem could be
what did you use for substrate?
did type of method did you use for sterilization?
how long did you serilize?
what strain?
things of this nature. the more detail the better.

ya start over unless you have a bunch of extra spores or LC
then you might as well reinject haha.

Make an LC and then re-inject with the LC. Make some new jars in the meantime. That's what I would do. I wouldn't throw them away though. Like you said, you may have rushed it a little and injected with too hot of a core temp.
