question on polyfill

im not to sure what this pollyfill stuff is that everyones talking about, is it just a cotton ball you put over a hole of jar or what?

Unlike cotton polyfil is synthetic. It's made of polyester so it wont allow the growth of contams. you can find it in the sewing section of a department store. Called polyester batting sometimes. They stuff pillows with it and shit.

It's polyester fiber. Polyfill pillows on sale at Target yesterday for $3.99. Called the "Basic Pillow." For mere mortals like me, that's a lifetime supply of polyfill.

It is also serializable unlike cotton.

jars need able to breath, expelling gases, gas exchanges, but it helps to provide that while inhibiting contaminants getting in.
