Hey guys, I'm actually going to give a good ID request so here:

Sorry the pictures are such poor quality but I'm using a cell phone. Newho the spore print is black and the gills are close together. I found these in my back yard growing on my moss. It has a slight bruising of blue around the edges. Any ideas? *Thanks

No need for smartass comments. Ok the stem is hollow, I already said that it was found in my backyard growing on some moss, I guess you wanted to know if it was on the ground or not (it is), as you can see below my avatar I'm in VA, turns extremely brown as it ages and gills become completely black, no real smell. I hope that's specific enough for ya. Sorry if I was a little vague. But don't discourage buddy.

The info and pictures here are kind of vague. I realize it's tough to take pictures with a cell phone though. Unfortunately, it is going to be tough for us to be too sure of anything.
Was the stem whitish? Was it very fragile, or pretty tough? Did the gills get runny at all as the mushroom aged (or after being picked/while spore printing)? That darkening around the edges of the cap, I've seen that in coprinus. the cap shape and coloration also seems close to some Coprinus micaceus and some other closely related species. The way you describe the gills, since the spore print is black, and the habitat - My guess would be coprinus. I don't see enough info to be convinced of that, but it seems likely to be found in VA at this time of year, in that habitat. Some coprinus species can have the same sort of cap coloration to it as of that in your pics.

Alright well I'm sorry but it is indeed hard to take pictures with a cell phone. I'm not by any means making excuses but it is hard to take good pics. Newho I guess I'll give you more info as wanted: the gills like became kind of a sort of dirt like texture to it, like you just kind of put your finger in potting soil (I guess that's what you mean by runny), the stem is white and soft. I'm sorry that I didn't give a good description, I'm a noob at this . Neways is coprinus active?

Most coprinus are inedible or possibly poisonous when mixed with alcohol, none of em are active... comatus is edible, but yours doesn't look like it. The description of the stem does sound consistent with coprinus. Perhaps given time the gills will start to develop an inky like substance. Does it at all resemble this to you?
