B+ strain used 7 jars with around 8lbs WBS. WBS was soaked for 18hrs then simmered for 20min. then loaded into jars and pcd at 15psi for 1.25hrs
some arent colonized fully yet (they got less spore solution) i only used 5cc between all 7 jars (saving some in case of failure)
3 weeks growth: week 1 was waiting for signs of germination weeks 2&3 brought about what you see in the pic at the bottom.
using a TiT incubator with a fish tank heater set to 82% and a pump to circulate water.
these will be spawned into 4quart disposable aluminum pans to wheat straw chopped to 1-2" pieces and pasturized. will most likely be spawning the 2 that are almost completely colonized next weekend. i will be using 50/50 verm peat with some crushed oyster shell as the casing. im still reading up on casing since ive only ever done PF style jars before. so far ive had 0 contam problems and hope it stays the same when i spawn to straw.

i found this at the dollar store for..well...$1

it looks like this filled

and im thinking itll fill 3-4 of these

think ill go ahead and spawn the 2 that are fully colonized late tomorrow night or something

Looks good
Colonzation was rather slow...Well, not bad for multi-spore actually.
What kind of filters do you use? Tyvek and polyfil?
on the verm. and peat...
I add about a handful of coir (hydrated) to every 2 quarts of straw/spawn...Simply because holds water well and due to the fact the i'm sick of verm...The kind here is way to thin, the coir colonizes better IME.
Good luck man, i hope it all works out, should be a most pleasing harvest, shit, should be hell of an experience just watching it

yep!
update: the 2 that were fully colonized were just spawned to pasturized wheat straw...i used shroomgods straw tek (the pasturizing part anyways)..i use aluminum foil for the cover on the aluminum lasagna pans...my hope is itll keep me from watching the myc grow since im a first timer with bulk and havent grown in years
heres a pic...they are sitting on top of my TiT incubator i have 5 more jars that are colonizing really fast now...2 more should be ready for this same treatment tomorrow

well the first flush is done and 2nd is coming in...will be finished in a few days i think...the pinset on the 2nd flush is not that great..but i think the shrooms will be bigger...anyways...ive taken 100+g off of the first flush (dry weight) and made capsules...
this is a batch of 100 caps...weights 2+oz...comes out to about .53g each cap...i used a blender to powder the cracker dry shrooms...damn these look so pro...ill be putting them in a herbal suppliment bottle and storing in the freezer:D

Wow... nice job on your first spawn! Id like to see some w/ a casing mix. Where do you find those huge capsule's?
