Check out these genetically challenged gooms, why are these caps so screwed up? I'm pretty sure they aren't cracked because the humidity is always high. Strain is DIX

Also i'm using a dehydrater for the first time, I heard that it's not good to put partially dry shrooms in with fresh shrooms? Is this true? I dont understand why.. Some of the shrooms seemed to be slightly burned coming out of the hydrater also, can you leave shrooms too long inside the dehydrater?

I've had cracked caps with high humidity. I have no idea what causes it, but I feel like they weren't mutants. Just not sure what I was doing wrong.
As for drying, keep the freshies seperated so you can pull the dry ones off without having to guess. A little extra time shouldn't be a big deal, but I wouldn't leave them longer than necessary.

Now and then, they just do that. They also split around the edges sometimes to look like a daisy. It's not from being too wet or too dry. I think lysol will cause rosecomb, but not splitting. RR

man the shrooms got brittle dry after only 4 hours in the dehydrater. The caps basically crumble when I touch them, is this normal?
