Never read it. I might someday, though.
Henri Bergson is good too, if you like Bachelard. 'Matter and Memory' is his most famous text. I'm trying to read it now, it's kind of difficult, but really trippy.

The People of Paper by Salvador Plascencia

Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon

And everyone says House of Leaves is trippy/scary but I don't much give a damn about it

Just started reading that. It's damn good so far. Beautifully written.

It is rather awesome

I fear my writing style may mimick it too much, but I suppose that could be a good thing...

Bachelard's written other books in which he often mentions Bergson. Apparently Bergson was an influence, but they're very different (for being French thinkers that is).

If you have any things to discuss about 'Matter and Memory' you could bring them up in Philosophy & Spirituality. Although, the conversation tends to be more philosophical in other subforums.
