frozen spore syringes

I turned my regrirator up to high and froze the spore in my syringes and prints are they ok or not?

I don't know but spores are really tough, I wouldn't be surprised if they are still fine...

from what ive read int he past they're fine... its the psilocin i think that is damaged by extereme cold - the genetic information contained in a spore is much more resistant to such environments, though correct me if im wrong..

its not the genetic information its teh fact cells just like a beer in your freezer expand and burst. normal cells i mean. spores can pull it off though. at least i hear. harty buggers.

Spores can stay viable after spending months in vaccuum (space).

Very nice work, Anno. Interesting thread. Never saw the promised microscope analysis, but your experiment definitely shows that frozen hydrated spores are still viable. Reduced colonization times, yes. The only question is whether the slower colonization is due to destruction of a certain percentage of spores, overall reduction in spore vigor, or both.
