weed brain fog concerns

ive been smoking around 2-3 times a day for the past three years, without much breaks. i took one 5 day break and then one 7 day break, and scatterd 1-2 day breaks. I felt much more clear headed after I stopped for a week.. i have some 'brain fog' problems and my short term memory isnt as good as it was before I started smoking.. it just feels "foggy" for lack of a better term when I think of things, or try to elaborate in a spoken conversation on things, its hard to think of words... its like things dont leave as much of an impression in my memory any more..
If I were to quit for 4 weeks, or however long it took for the thc to completely exit my system, do you think I would have any brain fog/memory problems still? I mean I can remember shit fine, it just feels foggy and not as sharp, like the day after a day where i smoke 3 times a day..
so is this perminant? im pretty concerned.. im also 18 yrs old... thanks

I'm sure a hundred people on this forum have been in your shoes. The simple answer:
Stop smoking, it goes away. Start again, it comes back. Extensive overuse can cause long term memory problems. Don't ask me to back that statement up, I can't. Just my .02.

nothing to worry about just be warned that years of daily pot smoking will leed to less concentration and less sharpness/memory recall

I've been off mj for about 4-6 weeks and still have the cloudy head feeling and thoughts an dmemory dont come as fluint or easy. In majority I would say people who started at a young age and continiously smoked have a disorder of that sort. Though im just comming from my experience since I have not yet had any mental changes after being off mj...yet. So I still feel clouded and have no real ambitions or im not enthused with anything as much anymore.

Use your brain, push through the fog! Seriously. I read an article that scientists are finding out that people actually get smarter with age, as long as you keep using your brain. I think this is a similar situation. Most people don't do calculus high. Get that baby cookin!

Ive experienced it, and theres good news: it definitly goes away. the bad news: theres no time length. it depends on your body, your mind, your level of use, and how long. I knew somebody who said they smoked everyday, all day for 2 or 3 years and the fog didnt fully die out until after a year of stopping. just try stopping COMPLETELY and see what happens, and keep up, because this too shall pass.

Of course, like all things...but you have to do it. Work on things that are hard for you. If you suck at writing write a paper if you suck at math do some math. Read a book on theoretical physics. Read a philosophy book. Anything that will get your brain working harder than it normally does. At least IMO.

I hate to condone trading one drug for another, but ecstasy cleared my weed fog and I didn't smoke again for two months after that. I just didn't want to, and the E left me understanding what I had to do.
