Pine is a softwood, which contain resins that are natural fungicides. If you're thinking of using wood, stick with hardwoods. Here's a list of possibilities. ----->HERE<----- (Clikety)

Cubes are not woodlovers. They will colonize and fruit off of wood when it's all that's available, but the fruits will be very small. Very little will fruit off of pine, period. You'll do much better with compost/manure or straw. RR
