Casing vs. Not casing!!

I'm thinking about casing ..I'm a "newbie." Do casings produce way higher yields?

Yes... but if you are a newbie you should stick with cakes for a couple times until you get the hang of the whole process.
Casings take more time, and they are easier to get contaminated, but yeilds are much higher than cakes 98% of the time.
So stick with cakes for now.... unless you are feeling lucky.

Casing provides more moisture and nutrition , so the yeilds are usualy larger . If your just getting strarted you should maybey try cakes first, just to get a feel for what your doing . If you already have , then read up on casing , lot of happy campers perfer to case . You can get some large flushes from cakes as well though . try em bolth ..

Casing should not provide any extra nutrients. A casing by definition is a non-nutrative layer. Casing provide a more stable growing surface, and protect the colonized substrate from drying out.
