If you do a search you'll see a lot of discussion about it happened a few weeks ago but unless someone puts forward a bunch of cash and hardware, it's probably not probable.

I think it's possible, but like most things, it's about gathering momentum, and finding people committed to making it work.
and content. lovely content.

We could have content in spades. We need cash.

I had little problem rounding up content... just no hardware to run it from and no bandwith to run it with.
As far as I am concerned, Shroomery Radio is dead.

On what kind of a format was shroomery radio operated?
How much bandwidth did/would it use?
What kind of hardware would be required?

The licensing itself is negligeable, and I'm sure the Shroomery Bank could handle that as we have in the past. The problem is that whomever is operating the stream needs to have their own set of hardware and a robust enough internet connection to support the realtime transfer of data to all the listeners. I guess Vamp was using his own hardware for the stream previously - but I really don't know the details since I wasn't directly involved with it.

As I said before in IRC, I'd be willing to run it from here.
We have kick ass computer set ups, and fiber optic internet, so bandwith wouldn't be an issue.
Someone let me know if they want me to do it.

Liz, I want you to do it. Really.
I miss the radio. I'm a contributor... I can't promise to have a new show every single week, that's a huge time commitment, but I can promise to do my best to help things run along as smoothly as possible. I have all my old shows, too...and they rock. :P We can have a 'Radio Classics' night with some of the great older stuff.
Doobs and Brain Annies advice Adrugs blues show Call ins...
Oh I miss the radio.
Do it...make it happen.

My girlfriend Lucy has a show ready to go for Shroomery Radio.
I have one as well, and I could honestly whip more up in an evening's time.

I don't even have internet access at my new place yet, so its a bit out of the question. If you guys want it back, someone else will have to take responsibility. I'll gladly contribute material for broadcasts, but I have neither the time nor the money nor the internet access to make this work.

Bom, Like I said, I'm more than willing to. However, I haven't heard from anyone in terms of the logistics of it, what I would need to do, or even been given permisssion to do so.
Frankly, given that I was denied permission to mod a subforum, and called a cunt in a forum which isn't even visible to me, due to "personal differences" with an admin, I'm not sure that I'll be granted clearance to DO the radio show from here.
We certainly have the hardware, and content wouldn't be a problem. I know you guys will contribute, and we have a combined 80gigs of music in our collection.
Our fiberoptic internet is 5Mbit up and 15Mbit down, so depending on how many people are actually listening, it's very feasible. All we would need is the software.
If someone gives me the word, I'll do everything I can to make it work.
