I quite clearly remember having a really solid cry in the shower the morning of my twentieth birthday.

All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis

Grats. 20 isn't that great. 21 rocks.
Use your youth man. You c an heal easily and fuck younger chicks easier. I've been using the hell out of my youth and have been enjoying the majority of it.

19 and 20 are NOT pointless.
When you are in your 30's the youth you had will be great for the memories. After all, that youthful stage in your life is short and the possibilities are endless.
I know I felt the same way about my life at your age but now in retrospect I wish I had taken the bull by the reins and ridden it hard whatever may come.
I have few regrets about that age, but still have nagging thoughts about how I could have made it better!

pointless wasn't the right word. ummm... how about this: your 19th and 20th birthdays are usually disappointments because your whole life, every year you got older you got to do something new. after 18, it stops until 21. at least thats how i feel.
but your right, its not pointless. it teaches me how to get away with shit until i turn 21. and im havin a good time doin it.

I'm telling you, do not motherfuck your youth. It is everything! Make shit happen, move to where you want to move, pursue the life you really want rather than some prescribed life given to you by the masses.
You have no idea how many doctors and lawyers I know that wish they went for their REAL dreams rather than plugging into a life that was supposed to bring them happiness.
Fuck all that!
I hate to preach but goddamit if there is no where to say this but the Shroomery than there is no where else exists.
Enjoy your youthful freedom -- it does not last forever.

see what i mean? thats exactly how i feel. you get all this new responsibility dumped in your lap and you cant even drown your sorrows in public at the end of the day. whats worse is that theres just not much for 19 and 20 year olds to do. im tryin to just lay low while i can cuz i know my ass drunk in public is gonna get me in trouble one day. it never hurts to have a clean record.

I honestly would rather live in a tent with peace than live in a McMansion with all the hassles and troubles.
A free mind and life is worth way more than being the doll of the society pages.
Think about it, why do so many rock stars and actors fall into such fucked up shit? --divorces, lawsuits, high living expenses, drug/alcohol troubles, etc.
Because we are all programmed.
I am not a big fan of the Bible, but it does have some timeless truths.
"Better to eat bitter roots in peace than to eat a fatted calf in strife"
Or something like that.
Freedom and happiness are yours, the world is set to turn you away from it to a life of horseshit.
Which will you choose??
