Drying mushies and one turned black (or DARK blue)

I plucked some freshies and decided to try a faster method of drying them. (so i could eat them faster)

I picked the last large fresh one and put it in the oven at 170 degrees
that was the lowest temp so i cracked the door open. left em in there for an 45 mins

the others i plucked at 11 am this morning dryed fine but the one i just picked and threw it in there was DARK DARK (blue) looked black though.

Is this just intense bluing? of the fresh one?

It is just bluing. I know bluing is the psychoactive chem in the shroom oxidizing which isnt a good thing. I'm not to sure about how much potency is lost if any.

Did you put it on a flat surface or on the rack. If you put it on a tray it will turn balck and then kind of just melt.

Far as my understanding goes, Oxidation(sp?) means that the chem.s are being broken down, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Sounds bad...

But if it's pysilocin breaking down into pysiloben(sp), then it's no big deal b/c that's what happens when you digest them anyways.
