The spiritual experience

I rarely eat shrooms and plan to eat 5 grams alone. I was wondering how I could get closer to god from my friends at the shroomery?s point of view. I plan on puking. My strategy is to have a spotter around dressed in a black robe with his face covered. This is to make sure I don?t hurt myself without ruining the trip. My spotter is not aloud to speak. I want to see cathulu or whatever it is that is out there. I plan on meditating while the trip sets in. Please tell me any of your favorite solo trip atmospheres, such as: music, lighting, location. I was thinking of some tribal drum music. Tell me what has helped to give you the best spiritual experience

you are taking all the fun out of the trip.
1) a really good trip cannot be planned. 2) try to loose all expectations prior to trip.

What is the purpose of this? Personally, spirituality is the enchanced awareness of one's experience of life. Directly interacting with another human being is quite possibly more prone for a great spiritual experience than having someone clothed so that they don't appear to exist.
Life is interaction. I would suggest inhabiting surroundings that are comfortable and familar to you, and partaking in activities that you enjoy. Ultimately, your trip will lead you wherever it "wants", but set/setting is integral. Just let it all flow.
 Peace.

well... he is asking for advice, and we are (probably) the most experienced group of Psychonauts (the shroomery as a whole).
Is it not the mission statement of the Shroomery to make people aware and learned regarding tripping?

^^^Yeah really, I ate about 2.5 of Cyanescens and it was too much for me like that. 5 grams of cubies in a dark room laying down with your eyes closed... should be a very intense and possibly very spiritual experience. If things start to turn sour or you don't feel comfortable anymore, just remember to get up. It will slip your mind, but try to remember if things get too rough for you to just smile and ride out, then just get up, drink a little water, and go back when you think you're ready again.
Intense CEV are very beautiful and with me they tend to manifest themselves slowly into thoughts that go deeper and deeper and grow more and more beautiful, and I just had to smile while while laying there at all the emotions, and colors, and thoughts running through me. It was 2 hours I may never forget. The mind can produce some of the of the most profound thoughts, feelings, and images while the mushrooms run their course.

Do you view spirituality in such a way that black robes would be conducive to a spiritual trip? I.e. are you into the esoteric mystical symbolic allure of "magic" and monks and monasteries and such?
I'm curious as to your motivation and why the robe would be black. To me it might make things a bit creepy. But it is also a way of keeping ONE thing grounded in reality, as your sober mind picked the person of being that way for a reason.
Do you feel that spirituality is mutually exclusive to the modern comfortable world, and thusly must be symbolized that way?
Well whatever you do, be safe.

Indeed. Yet young Faustus isn't seeking transcendence, he wants a spook show, and a nauseating one at that. Methinks that a 5 gm dose is too much for mere psychodrama and amusement. It bespeaks of a weird hidden agenda to me.
