i've been out of the hobby for a year after many succesfull grows.i started with using rye berries with a great turn out.i switched to wbs and also had many a good grows, but the last 40 jars or so on my last grow all failed. as far as i know i did everything the same as always.the contamination was a nasty smell and slime.could this happen because i didnt rinse the wbs after soak? i never rinsed before and had success, maybe luckey? the reason i ask is because i dont have any more spore prints and buying some.maybe i should go with brf to be confident i will gain some mycelium and then i can have room for error after that.wbs freaks me out after that last failure.

Bacterial contamination. Recheck your hydration and sterilization procedures.

I use WBS, so far 100 jars no contam. I use a poly fill top with tevlk or how ever you spell it. After an overnight soak incubate @ 82 deg in my tit. Works for me.

That's usually from too much moisture. Make sure that you let them drain for 30 minutes before you put them in the jars.
