Sporelab...is this normal?

Ordered 3 B+ syringes from Captain Max at the Sporelab. Arrived a few weeks later with 2 of the 3 syringes cracked open (nooooooo! the poor spores!). The third syringe was not ANYWHERE as dark as I had expected it to be. Looked like water, pretty much. Aren't they supposed to be cloudy? I'm sure I've seen pics of syringes before that look almost brown.
Suppose I can't blame Captain Max for the broken syringes, as they were most likely broken in the mail. But I still expected a much denser spore content in the good syringe.
PS: After reading through some old posts, I need to add this:
I am not bashing Sporelab or Captain Max in any way. Just asking if this type of thing is normal or not. Are the syringes supposed to be that light?

I see this asked about once a month or so.
Just because someone doesnt actually try and pull one entire sporeprint into one syringe to make it clumpy and dark with spores doesnt mean that the syringe is any less viable - i think the responses always go to these posts 'spores are microscopic'
Trust me - the syringe will be fine - pity about them cracking

Sorry to hear about the breakage, email or pm me right away and I'll send replacements.
As for the spores, sometimes they clump and you can see black flecks of stuck together spores, other times they jsut kinda 'dissolve' and you can't see anything.
Don't worry, we'll get you some shrooms yet!

A "few weeks" for your spores to arrive? That's pretty bad. 2 out of the 3 syringes were "cracked open"? That's pretty terrible as well. Wasn't Max just praising the post office about how "fast" his syringes were being delivered and how "great" a job they are doing? How were these things packed? Were they in a protected box or a cardboard envelope. A lot of serious questions need to be addressed here imo.

I'm sure he meant 'a few days'. Nothing takes a few weeks around here.

No it really was well over a week. Mailed out the order before my last exam and they didn't show up until I had already gone home a week later.

Just need to say that the ammount of time it took for the syringes to arrive doesn't bother me. I also need to say thanks to Captain Max for offering to replace the two broken ones.
Keep it up, eh Max!

And of course if one sends there order by regular mail from one end of Canada to the other, its going to take about 4 or 5 days each way. There's your 'over a week'. Nothing unusual about that!
Those who want it faster can speed things up by sending thier payments by ExpressPost. Goods can also be sent by ExpressPost.
Your replacement syringes are ready to go, I just need your addy.

A few weeks really means a few days which really means a week, whatever you say Captain Max. I,m still waiting to here how these syringes were shipped, protective box, cardboard envelope, paper envelope? Hmm, still some unanswered questions.

So you won't tell what type of package you ship your syringes in? The list of questions just grows longer.

I had no problem with how the syringes were shipped to me. In fact, I'm damned pleased with Captain Max's service. He offered to replace the two broken syringes as soon as he heard about it, and that is definately not something I expected.

Barry, Captain Max has no control over the way the postal service handles packages. These things happen sometime. But he said he was willing to replace them. I view that as a gesture of goodwill.

Barry is just Rolphs sock puppet.. somehow Roadkill and everyone has this turned around but if you read all the post archives you ll see Barry was created on 2/6 and all of a sudden he knows everything about everything going on here. LOL.. what a fuckin joke. Before people attack me they should read all the archived posts. Of course Rolph has deleted most of his because he dont like to leave a trail but you can get the general idea. That was nice of Mcman to give Roadkill free support thoug on his new used Pod he bought.. I guess thats where his new found loyalty comes from. Unlike him my opinions cant be bought.
