my poo isn't fruiting........

so...........i don't know if i'm being impatient, or i'm doing something wrong.
i've got 7 trays of PF cakes spawned to pre-past hpoo in a fruiting chamber..... they've been in there for almost a week........(6 days) and they're not doing anything.........
my cheap-o humidity reader says it's at 95%....... and i've got a nice moist layer of perlite at the bottom.....
i've been trying the wax paper method for them........ and i applied that about 4 days ago, and replaced with new sheets yesterday. i'm considering doing a 50/50 casing layer on a couple of them, or maybe a thin layer of verm.
am i doing something wrong? or is this the normal time they take.... i was expecting some sort of pinning by today, but there's nothing. and they don't really look much different from when i put them in there.......
is there something else i can do to initiate pinning??? that is, without over working everything?
also, they were pretty dry at first, so the first couple days i lightly misted them all...once in the morning and once at night....all before applying the wax paper........ i hope they aren't dead.

Its a little unclear as to whats going on. Ive never done anything with wax paper so I cant comment on that. However you should lower your humidity a little bit and let us know about your temps, lighting and any info on FAE. Im also assuming the substrate is fully colonized. Something else to consider is that you shouldnt be misting the substrate (thats what it sounds like you were doing) your substrate should have the correct moisture content when you spawn. My understanding with the wax paper is to help the substrate retain moisture while it colonizes (some one correct me if im wrong).

Very true, sister. It does take some time for your "casing" to convert from vegetative to fruiting mode. I now use RR's wax paper method as well for my bulk Hpoo grows (Just started it, I hate casing). I did notice a marked increase in time from "casing" with wax paper to fruits, but you must keep in mind that you are skipping the actual casing step, which would normally add about 3 days to the time frame. One suggestion is to drop your 95% RH to about 80%. The wax paper is there to help create a micro-climate for optimal pin formation, but you still need some transpiration to make things work properly. Only 4 days since you applied the wax paper? Have a little patience.

oh yes, i forgot to mention all that.....
FAE is done by simply lifting up the plastic sheet i have taped around the FC and i do a little fanning twice a day....( i know it should be more, but i'm kinda busy with school and work, so i do it extra long - about 10 minutes, with a small fan and by hand-to make up for lost time)
for lighting, i have a florecent grow light (low wattage, but i forgot how much) about 3 ft. above the FC.........
the temps are lower than normal room temps, about 70F- but i don't have a thermometer inside the FC (which i probably should) and it seems that the FC is a little warmer than the room temp due to it's natural heating ability......
i misted the substrate when i first put it in the FC, because it looked very dry to me.....and i thought i'd kick up the moisture a bit.....
but thank you for your advice with the humidity....i thought it may be a little high......

thanks man, i thought i was being a tad impatient......
i'll be sure to add a little bit of dry perlite to the top of my wet layer.....
how have your results been with the wax paper??? this is my first time growing, so i thought i'd try out casings AND wax paper......so i have two poo trays with casings (which i did yesterday)
but i'm interested to see how the wax paper does.....and since i see that alot of people have trouble with casing layers, i thought i'd try without it.
i'm kinda being impatient because my birthday is coming up..... on easter actually.......and i wanted to..ahem...celebrate by then.....
but with the wax paper, can you tell when it's getting ready to pin? i noticed some very bright white-but very very tiny little pod thingys starting to form all across the top of each of my trays.
when i put them in the FC, i judged them being 100% colonized by taking pics and comparing them to what i saw on here.... but, when i looked up close, i could still see a hint of very light brown on some of the surface........
should i have waited?
i wasn't sure, and i asked on here, but no one answred me, and then one of my threads got closed........
but, any advice you could give me would be great, seeing as you've been doing the wax paper thing....
sorry for asking a bunch of questions, i just dont' want to fudge anything up......
