Gabriel's Trumpet y=1/x...made a shell by rotatting around the x axis...
for x>1 has an infinite surface area, yet has a finite volume so you could fill it with paint, yet never pain the outside of it completely... wtF?!?!?!

One of the coolest things about math, I think, is it can tackle the realm of infinity and instantaneous which our brains are biologically ill-equipped to handle/understand.

e^(i*π) + 1 = 0
EDIT: that third symbol is supposed to be pi.

When the numbers represent dead presidents, math becomes much more interesting.

Get a good teacher. Math is boring unless you're some kind of prodigy. But someone with a gift for teaching can make it fun, even exciting. Props to Ray Boersema and Calc 225 at Frontrange Community College.

Complex numbers are pretty cool and very useful!
cos(pi)=1 and sin(pi)=0 => e^(i*pi) = 1 + 0i = 1
If you have learned what complex numbers are, you shouldn't find math boring or you have picked the wrong study.

Is there any interesting facts about maths that may make me more interested in it?

Music is interesting.
Math is music, and music is all. Syncopating rythmic motions harmonizing in chaos. Indeed, fractals are beautiful.
Think of math this way:
When you use mathematics, you are accessing and excercising a different part and function of the brain. It is a language that has no barrier's or distinction's. You can literally describe the world in a more complete encapsulation through math than with words. You just have to know the language; and learning a language can be boring. However, when applied with skill, it can be very fun and interesting.
Know that formula's aren't just complex things to be memorized. You should try to understand them. Start from the ground up; Greek mathematics is a good start. How is the formula for a circle pi times its radius squared? Well there are approximately 3.14 (or more accurately expressed through pi) squares that are the same inside a circle. Then move into euclidean geometry. I agree that people make this shit boring, but it can be fun if they have an imagination and if you are using yours.
Life is subjective, and your brain is malleable. Life is what you create. And what you create is how you immerse yourself through interaction.
Intelligence = (Intensity + Immersion) * (Imagination ^2)
-------------------- As the life of a candle, my wick will burn out. But, the fire of my mind shall beam into infinite.

You might try the series from The Teaching Company:
Joy of Thinking: The Beauty and Power of Classical Mathematical Ideas. http://www.teach12.com
It definately provides insight and sparks interest in general mathematics.
