50/50+ casing question

I've read the faq's over and over and decided that the best bet for my method is to go with RHs 50/50+.
Coming up with a few lime issues - The tek says use Hi-Yield Horticultural Lime - this is hydrated lime - the tek (and the bag) says that the Hydroxide will burn the Mycelium - obviously not an ideal condition. The tek also states that the Hi-Yield brand is OK. I'm probably going to steer clear of this powder.
I've got two other choices available to me at this point - Hi-yield Agricultural Lime and Naturalime Pelletized Lime.
Stats on each -
HY NL 21.6% ca 37% 13% mg .5% CCF 93% TNP 97% CaO 51.8% 53.94% CaCO3 92.5% 45.36 MgCO3 109% CaCO3 equivalent (same as CCF??)
The HYAL is about 3x the size of sand, and the NL is closer to buckshot.
Also, to clarify, the tek give all measurements in standard, except for the lime, with it gives at 1.2, am I to believe this to be 1 1/5 cups or a typo, at 1 1/2 cups.
I know this isn't an exact science, but w/o a proper probe to use, it makes it rather difficult to guess at PH levels.
Thanks again -

These two materials will not work because they are far too coarse. Buy a powder source of calcium carbonate.

First off anything containing more than 3% Mg is unacceptable and will not work and will only inhibit myc growth. Secondly hydrated lime is very useful as long as it contains less than 3% Mg and is used in very small doses in conjuction with a long term buffer such as CaCO3 or oyster shell flour, powderized egg shell, etc; pelletized lime can easily be used if you crush it or grind it first not at all difficult.
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"

I just made up a batch of 50/50+.
I used 30 cups sifted peat, 30 cups of verm and ONE cup of Hi-Yield Horticultural Lime and 7 cups crushed oyster shell. Ph came out at 7.2. Put it in 16 quart jars and PC'ed . Put the rubber gasket side of the jar down and did it like it was soup. Sealed airtight. Store them on a shelve and use it as needed. No problems so far.
