Next time don't grind up the WBS. I just inoculated a very similar combination in large spawn bags and noted a slower than expected colonization. Mine did finish colonizing in about a week, but it was just sort of sluggish to recover after the shake. If you don't see anything in 4 days, they're toast. Either the water content was too high after the inoculation or the LC had too much bacteria in it. Something went wrong; go back to the drawing board.

but if its not ground the WBS surley i need to overnight soak, simmer etc.......not just put in dry????

i started 3 more jars, same recipe but instead of the WBS flour i used BRF see if theres any difference or i can pinpoint the problem....i done quite i few cakes so i think i know my water content is ok  time will tell ><><><><><><
