Input on my FC to get rH right. CM and 3' hose to a 52gal.

Hey, so I'm building a 52gal FC and I'm trying to get the humidity, the last thing, calibrated. I have a Cigar Perfect Hygrometer from 10-90% so it should read anything from 85 and less fine, and I'm not wanting to go much above 85 if at all. I have the Cool mist piped through a 5/8" inner diameter garden hose a distance of 3 feet to the top of the tub. I figured with this long of a hose and no ultrasonic running, that the humidity would be fine (and if it was too much I could adjust the length of the tube.
I put my hand at the output of the hose and I can't feel any mositure as I can coming out directly from the CM (before it was taped of course). Do people with marthas expect to feel anything but air coming out of the hose?
I turned it on to see the rH with my Cigar Perfect in there. I had also drilled 2 1/4" holes on the bottom for exhaust. After about 20 mins or so I look through the window and the meter is above 90, so it's too much in there. There wasn't any condensation on the wall s (don't know if there should be though).
Also, how big do the exhast holes need to be (how big are they in marthas?)?
I'll be able to post pictures this weekend, but hopefully I'll be able to get this figured out by then. If you need any more details, I can elaborate, it's not a complex setup.
I also have a Taylor 1458 coming, so I'll be able to have an analoge meter in there as well (in case this one isn't cutting it).

Aight, well, I left it to run overnight with no hygrometer in it (since it goes berzerk anyways). I wouldn't recommend that anyone get an analogue hygrometer, unless it's around $100. Whoever suggested the cigar perfect (in a thread I remember seeing), dead wrong. I have my digital coming with an extra remote sensor, so I should have this calibrated soon.
So overnight The walls built up some condensation, w00t. Hopefully its 85 or over so I can reduce it if nessesary, but to raise it I'll need an Ultrasonic (which I have coming in the mail, but I'd prefer not to need it). Once I have it all done and running I'll post pictures and maybe a walkthrough tek (I took pictures along the way). If anyone has some suggestions, feel free.
Edit: I'm hoping I'll need to reduce the rH with a bottle becasue the bottle would serve another purpose as well, letting the H2O buildup in the hose drain. The tub isn't very tall and so the hose can't completely slope down to the CM. If there were a bottl, all the excess H2O would drain to the bottle.

Thanks DP, when I get my digital hygrometer I should be better able to calibrate my setup. I thought I should be feeling some moisture coming out fo the hose as it does coming right out of the cool mist close up, but I guess not.
You don't get H2O buildup at that loop going from the CM to the Martha? Doesn't it need to drain back into the CM?

i used to get h20 build up, it would clog a bit and no mist was coming out, but i cut the hose shorter so there is no loop. : )

But that raises the rH as well with a shorter hose. I'm gunna leave the hose as it is and see what rH it's at like it is. If it's 85, I'm good, if it's less I'll need the Ultrasonic I ordered. If it's too high, I'll cut the hose and connect both ends to the sides of a 2 liter and see how it goes from there.

you could add an air pump to drop humidity, the smallest ones are real cheap, and won't over-do anything. you might have one laying around.

I have an airpump but it's in use in my PMPs. I'll just use bottles if need be, less power consumption as well. Thanks for the advice tho.
