my grow plan

i made this image in photoshop, not anything new but it is my plan for a simple low cost terrarium, the dimensions are rough estimates, I am planning on roughly following the PF tek,
I have already purchased 1 dozen 1/2 pint canning jars, 4 quarts of organic vermiculite and one Sporeworks Equador syringe, and I have a air pump laying around somewhere. Any advice?

you have that hole in the top labeled for "escaping air"
then in the bottom you have "air pump"
is that like a fish tank bubbler?
if you are going to automate your air flow, put the fishtank bubbler inside, with the tube coming out, and have that hole covered with some sort of filter (i use the kind for air breather masks)
anyway, that air pump i assumed it was fish tank bubbler to drain out co2, if its not, sorry for the comments :wink:

For proper draining of CO2 ( which lays on the
bottom) the hole for escaping air needs to be in
the side at about the level of the chicken wire.

Right now my friend has his air pump outside the terrarium and going into a bubble stone in the bottom of a peroxide quart jar, the air then flows into the terrarium. Would it provide better air exchange and humidity if I had the whole jar inside the terrarium?? Thanks!!!

thanks for the advice, im not sure if im going to include the fish tank bubbler because it is very noisy, now im gonna test it to see if its noisy when inside terrarium. my friends moms uncles dogs bitch just sterilized his jars last night and is going to do it again today just to be safe.

oh yeah i forgot to mention that I am no longer going to be growing shrooms because they are illegal and bad ;( i decided to turn my terrarium over to the police dept, now there growing them! they just innoculated all 6 jars and have them in the terrarium with a heating pad, after they finished innoculating they noticed that they only used like 3 cc's on six jars will this have a negative affect? well they'll just have to wait and see

if you are using a terratium with perlite, you REALLY dont need that air pump or hole on top. just make sure the container is sealed up nice so the humidity doesnt escape and then fan it out twice a day to get some air exchange.

I just went to the evidence room to check on my jars, 4 out of six are showing mycelium growth yippie!
