Best jar size for sclerotia?
    #5480829 - 04/04/06 09:48 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

Hi everyone!
Since Psilocybe Mexicana sclerotia needs about 3 months to completely develop and can become big like doorknobs, I was wondering how big must be the jars in order to obtain the best results possible during this period of time (3 months).
In this post, results show that sclerotia grows better in 300ml substrate instead of 420ml, proving that it's not true that bigger jars = more substrate = more sclerotia.
Maybe mine is just a stupid question, if so, forgive me!

Well, my thought form little searching and asking is this.

It seems that surface area plays a big part. I am using bags, but I have a few going.

One has river rock, one has hard plastic various sizes, and plain. Also I have a large bag going and a smaller one...

I am still a month away but I'll see if there is a deference.

But I think that you can apply the same thing for jars.
