how long

My casing just compleatly covered with mycelium .My stupid questions are:
1 How long will it take to see a pin head ?
2 How long for that pin to mature ?
You guys are the best for a newbie like my self

If your casing is completely covered w/ mycelium you may not see pins. Overcolonisation of your casing leads to a condition called overlay. Overlay prevents good pins from forming. I had a similar problem with some extremely aggresive PR mycelium. If I were you I would re-case and wait untill your casing shows 20-30% colonisation. At that time initiate your pinning by exposong to 12 hours of light and incrreasing your air exchange. You should see pins in 2-4 days following. Your pins should develop to fruits in 4-8 days. There are many factors that lead to variations in pinning. It takes practice to get it down. If you would like to see pics of my problem casing go to the pics forum. Look for Puerto Rican Start.
