Stat. Assignment, Help please
    #5478519 - 04/04/06 09:48 AM (17 years, 9 months ago)

For an intro. level statistics course, I have to devise an experiment to test a hypothesis using either a Z-test, a T-test (one or two sample or matched pairs), or a chi-squared test. I'm having trouble coming up with ideas of things to test, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Other people are testing things like "Is there a significant difference in price between CDs at Tower and Best Buy?".

Also it shouldn't be based on a survey, so it should be something objectively measureable.

Muchas gracias!

Oh yeah, just FYI, a z-test measures the true proportion or percentage of something, or compares 2 proportions; a t-test measures or compares the true means of things; and a chi-squared test can test to see if two things are independent or homogenous.
