Absolutely natural environment/air exchange?

Just a thought:
Suppose one were to introduce an ordinary everyday housse-plant into ones terrarium along with casings or cakes. Shrooms give off CO2 and consume O2, whereas plants consume CO2 and give off O2. Sounds like this would be a match made in heaven. It would, in theory, relieve the necessity to hand fan or buy equipment and build some kind of filter box etc...And furthermore, since the cakes/casings in the terr. are fully colonized, could we not neglect this factor and assume that maybe this could be more beneficial than harmful? This is the natural environment in which shrooms grow anyhow.
I'd like to hear some thoughts on the matter, please.

well, you should consider this. Since you are using this site, I assume you're probably growing some heebie-jeebies as the plant. They need A LOT of light. The lights used are very expensive and put off A LOT of heat. you would have to vent anyway just to account for the heat from the light. Even if you're using a regular plant or whatever, you're still gonna need a lot more light reative to the amount of the mushies. Thats my 2 cents.

The oxygen and co2 would be exchanged if you had the right ratio of plant to fungus, but the air would be stagnant. Everybody forgets about stagnant air causing contams. You would still need air circulation.
