Salvia tolerance
    #5478350 - 04/04/06 08:40 AM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I've heard of there being a reverse tolerance - where if u smoke 10x, then an hour (maybe less) later u smoke the same amount, you will get higer than the first.

My question is how long does this tolerance reside? Ive been smoking 10x for the past week and each time its getting more intense. I take one hit (not sure on the weight, probably about 0.2 or 0.3g's) from a bubbler, once a day, around the same time at night - the effects just keep getting more intense, last night being the most intense yet.

Does this tolerance stay with a person for a day or two, or only a few hours?

Also, it is non-standardized extract. Not sure if that would make a difference

I think this tolerance is more of a sensitivity to the experience than it is actual physical tolerance. It took me more then a few tries to open up and just let go. This wasn't a physical thing, all mental I think. So even after a break, a little goes a long way.

Dude how can you do salvia that much? That's fucking crazy. I did it once and decided i'm done. Mushrooms and LSD is what my head gets along with. We've become dear friends.

I've smoked 5x and then smoked 10x just 2 minutes later but I think that was about my 15th time smoking salvia, so I had a mental handle on it. It was actually easier, because the comeup sucks (to me) so I had an easy comeup and then just boosted to outer space.

I agree with palmersc, it's more of a knowledge and understanding of what's to come than it is a tolerance. I don't think there is a building of tolerance with salvia. The tolerance you start with is the tolerance you will die with, lest you become permanently mangled mentally by any drug, IE, heavy dosages of ayahuasca.

im under the impression the reverse tolerance is more of a long-term thing. so once you pass the threshold of salvia, it doesnt take as much to get back there, unlike most other drugs which take more each time.

this might be because you open your brain up in a certain way, then just get very good at it so it takes less and less time / effort / amount. I can personally say this is true for me.
