well after watching ecstasy vidoes which I have seen before only to reminded how much the goverment lies to use just to gain credability or to cover something up wich in the end just makes them look even worse
now im not talking about the ecstasy shit im talking about everything from war propagandy to taxes
dont you think we as a society as a whole would be more trusting on what they say then allways questioning them all the time
well I guess the damage they have caused in our trust is irreverable

And then I go kill a bitch because the flaming orb in the sky told me to do so, and I don't know, oppress a few minorities here and there in the name of nuclear fusion? Religion is fun.

(*government, *propaganda, *irrevocable - sorry I'm a spelling nazi)
"It's a headless blunder operating under the illusion of a master plan."
That's the only thing I can ever really feel towards the government.

It's the citizen's job to question government, although that seems to be less and less relevant today. There seems to large chunks of generations that just blindly believe whatever they are told, no questions asked.
My attitude towards it has always been - "why should we trust them?"
Politicians lie and cheat. No matter how morally upstanding they think they are when running their election campaign, no matter how much they want to change the country for the better, they'll end up being corrupted if they come to power. It happens in every country. Modern politics is full of scandal, lies and cover ups only some of which ever come to light.
If politicians were honest then I'd be much more inclined to believe what they say. If they held up their hands and fessed up to the mistakes they'd made and tried to fix them as soon as they happened, I'd look at them in a different way.
It'll never happen though. It's too easy for government to hide their mistakes, blame someone else then cover their tracks, so there's no incentive for them to be honest with us.
Sorry for sounding so cynical but I just hate what modern "democratic" governments have become.

Ultimately, the government can only get away with what it's citizens allow it to get away with.
