Because $20.00 per box of 24 is slightly more expensive than $6.00.

It's N2O, and it has a sweet taste even in the absence of whipped cream. (Do a little research)
And it could be "watered down" with any other gas, lke AIR?

In my experience, the gas is not tasteless... It is slightly sweet and has a slight odor reminiscent of sassafras oil.

Well hmm its kinda hard to water a gas down with another gas since H2O is a liquid except in very high temps and extremely low vacuum pressures.. so again how do you water down a gas with liquid? two different forms of matter?

the reason the gas has a slight taste and odor is because of impurities in it.. pure NO2 is oderless and tasteless

Again we seem to be struggling with my saying "watered down"
What I meant was the mixing in of some other harmless gas to raise profits for the manufacturer.
I'm not at all sure, they just seem weaker than some I've had in the past.

I just looked on erowid last week and I remember reading that the gas has it's own sweet taste, so I don't believe it.
Plus I'm sitting here hitting them and it definately has a sweet taste so that isn't helping your case any.

To start off, nitrous oxide is n2o, not no2... here's part of the msds sheet:
* Major hazard : Supports Combustion and Suffocation * Toxicity (Am. Conf. Of Gov. Ind. Hygienists ACGIH 2000 Edition) : 50 ppm * Flammability limits in air (STP conditions) : Strong Oxidiser * Odour : Sweet * UN Number : UN1070 (gas); UN2201 (liquid refrigerated) * EINECS Number : 233-032-0 * DOT Label (USA) : NFG * DOT Hazard class (USA) : Non flammable Gas

Thank you for your contribution...
Now do you think it's possible these communist countries are replacing some of the gas with inert gasses or what?!!

That is funny, I was just listening to the song "The Mollusk" from Ween...and I was thinking about whippets when I heard the song because it reminded of me being on nitrous, because the last time i did whippets was to a few ween songs... What was a trip is a i was thinking about whippets before I just logged on the shroomery. Very strange indeed...

that's an understatement. whippets while sober and/or stoned are funny, like haha funny.
whippets while on lsd/mushrooms/mescaline are funny, like "holy shit my brain just burst into a million different soundwaves, traversed each of them, and merged with the vibration of the universe!" funny

I only tried combining nitrous with alcohol, marijuana and salvia... alcohol was fun, but drunken whippits are basically a waste. after smoking good marijuana i had an out of body-type experience that was extremely pleasurable. with salvia, i didn't even really feel the gas at all, just felt light-headed.
me and three others went through 150 canisters in about 6 weeks... i paid for them... 'bout $50 plus the cost of the dispenser. too expensive to have lying around. i'll probably pick some up to bring along for summer psychedelic trips, but something tells me i won't really care about n2o while on a trip in its own right.
