The first picture you posted is the same one I have had on a poster that was given to me when I was a little kid. It has traveled with me my whole life!
I don't know why anyone would really care, though.
Where'd you get all these pictures?

If the big bang theory is correct, then actual elements came quite a while after the big bang (time of creation). Things had to cool down enough for energy to transform into matter. Most of the original matter was in the form of hydrogen and helium. The heavier elements were created much later.

"If the theories are correct, then only something like 15-20% (made up numbers, no ref available, but it was a very small ammount) of the universe is made of matter like ours. The rest is this mysterious dark matter. ... and people wonder where the elf world is. "
Not just dark matter anymore, but hot dark matter & cold dark matter, and even dark energy!! The astounding thing is that recent observations of standard candle type 1 supernovae suggests that the universe is actually accelerating, not decelerating!! something is acting counter to gravity across astronomic distances and actually speeding things up!! (dark energy)...

Isn't that what I said?? To astrophysicists, all other elements except H & He are referred to as metals...other than H & He, the only other elements forged in the original furnace of the big bang (once atoms were able to form, of course!!:))were small amounts of Deuterium (heavy hydrogen) and miniscule amounts of Li, Be & B...

Some of that shits pretty fucking beautiful. Do you ever wish you could be a part of it. I dont know how its possible, but alot of times i be overwhelmed with the beauty of things, i just wanna be them, or hug them, or smoke them...But i cant, and i doubt any of those would fufil the "emptiness" i think just relizing that there is such beauty makes me emotional and seeking more, and stufff, and its not just that, but eh =] kung fu on shrooms in the back yard might help

huy, who says the universe was made at the same time? When they say its expanding, where can it be expanding into? mebbe it started as a point and spread out into nothing ( which we have absolutely no way of imagining, and id like to note that many of you view us as intelligent life.. mhmm.. we can even imagine nothing! )

you can't imagine nothing because nothing can't exist... it's nothing. nothing is nothing. there is nothing to imagine.

Too bad that picture isn't of the milky way... nothing has gotten far enough away yet to send pictures back, which would still take time and even more advanced communication devises

Root: If you realize that you are part of these beautifull pictures, I imagine the "emptiness" would fill up. Wether you realize it or not, you are a very intricate part of making this whole thing we call the universe work. You can be directly connected with all of this if you believe in astral projection!!!!

"Tell me about tachyons? "
A putative class of particles able to travel superluminally. They would appear to violate causality, though, and invalidate general relativity, if in fact they do exist - Cerenkov radiation has never been detected in a vacuum, so one would imagine that they are a thought excercise only, and do not exist...
