Bad Experiance with mycofactory.com

I placed an order On Saturday March 18th. (100 filter patch bags for 45$ plus 15$ shipping)I had decided that I in fact did not want the order because I have had so many problems with these bags, and I decided I just wanted to use jars from now on. So I e-mailed mycofactory at orders@mycofactory.com with this e-mail on Sunday March 19th:
Please Cancel this order as I have decided I dont need them.
Thanks.
Please contact me for any reason.
And then I preceided to e-mail him Monday the 20th, Tuesday the 21st, and Wednesday the 22nd. WITH NO RESPONSE till Thursday, where he replied to my e-mails all with the same response (3 replies):
This order has already shipped.
Thanks Al The MycoFactory LLC www.MycoFactory.com How incredibly unprofessional. I Dont understand why he doesnt check his e-mails daily. I dont Care if he has 100000's of e-mail daily, that is his job to reply to them. If he had other means of contacting him IE. a PHONE??!?!?! Then this could have been avoided.
So Basically, I asked him to refund me, and he hasnt replied(not supprised). Im hoping that this Post might help others that think they might order from him, that basically, once you place your order, DONT EVER EXPECT TO CANCEL. He wont let you!
I am so dissapointed in them, I had previoudly ordered from them, and because they appeared to be a reputable company I decided to order from them again, however now I wont even be using filter patch bags, and If they sold any thing else I wanted, I wouldnt buy from them again. Thanks for hearing my rant.

In my Opinion:
You placed an order with him and he sent it out ASAP. How would you feel if someone placed an order you sent it out and found out they wanted a refund?
I'm sure he would of refunded you or gave you store credit but it was to late.

i dont understand people that order something just to cancel the order for no apperant good reason the next day. maybe decide that you actually want something before you order it. like the above poster said, the order could have been sent out the same day you orderet it.

It took him till Thursday to ship it, thats 3 business days.
It couldnt have been shipped out on a Saturday! UPS doesnt run on Saturday. Come-on, I have the right to cancel the order. AND I requested before he even processed my payment!
Question: How would I feel if someone canceled an order after I shipped it??
Answer: I WOULD FEEL DUMB FOR NOT READING MY E-MAIL!

Did you read their terms of service? The very first line states "Once your order has been shipped it can not be canceled." I think it's a very professional policy to have, and I don't really understand your complaint. You should think over your purchases before making them, because things like this cause a great deal of unwarranted stress to the wonderful sponsors here at the shroomery. If you didn't want them, IMO, you should have thought the decision over and not ordered them in the first place.

Please don't fold under the sponsors, Its not the sponsors decision to what the customer receives and purchases, its the customers decision.
THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF ITS ONLINE OR OFFLINE, AND IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR PRODUCT IS. ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO WHAT YOU CAN TO PLEASE THE CUSTOMER

Purchasing shouldn't be a commitment, especially if you canceled prior to shipping.. Thats just how a good legitimate business is conducted. Customer satisfaction should be the first and only true priority, because with out them you(the Business) are nothing! If you canceled the next day, and they failed to take action, you should return the order. They should pay for the return shipping. Money is money and if your unsatisfied bring it up to their local "Better Business Bureau".
Peace.
Not saying I'd do this, but their are options for the consumer.

I missed that before.......hmmm..... That's a tough one! I know their product is top notch, perhaps they just have been overwhelmed with orders?

IMO Mycofactory's customer service skills suck. I operate a small business and I would never treat my customer that way. Yes it might be a pain in the ass to refund and cancel a order, but in the long run it helps business. You get repeat customers instead of one timers. Duh! He is either too busy, doesn't care, or to greedy. The business mantra is one happy customer, at least one referal. One unhappy customer, they tell ten others. Look at where this post is going, just because of his failure to follow good business practices.

I think I'll be keeping the bags. I'd rather play around with them, than go to the post office to waste 10$ and then him lose 15$ from shipping. IMO I would rather that he read his e-mail more often and avoid these problems. He did apologise and that goes a far way for me.

I disagree you are the one that made the mistake in the first place. This complaint should not EXIST. YOU MADE THE MISTAKE - IE. IT'S YOUR FAULT.
It would have been nice if he would have caught your EMAIL, but he did not.
Next time THINK MORE BEFORE PURCHASING. SLEEP ON MAJOR/MINOR PURCHASES (I DO ANYTHING ABOVE $20). In most cases there will be THE SAME THING FOR THE SAME PRICE available the next day anyways.
I sell on eBay and people like you are really a pain in the ass - buy something one day - don't want it the next. LEARN TO THINK BEFORE YOU BUY. LEARN TO SHOP AROUND BEFORE YOU BUY. Be a GOOD CONSUMER!!! How hard is it? Research products before buying, compare prices, read reviews, and then purchase with your credit card as it offers you other protections as a consumer.
Not to tear you a new ass but I think you are MORE AT FAULT than the vendor here in my eyes..
Think you guys should look at from the Vendors side.
Don't BLAME your POOR consumer skills on the vendor.
I think it's hilarious you even imply the vendor should refund you in full, I think you should have to pay shipping costs on both ends but I guess I am not a shroomery vendor dealing with 18 year old idiots all the time that flame them here for their own mistakes.
A lesson for others to take from this post would be: Know what your buying, make sure you want, and once you've paid for it don't expect to be able to return if you 'just feel like it'.

BTW - If he already processed your credit card and put money in his account he pays processing fees for running the card. Then if he has to refund your card he also pays processings fees on the refund.
Probably in tune of 3% of $65 = approx $2 plus for the return $2 = $4 OUT OF HIS POCKET - that's a cheap lunch.
So your poor decision making skills just cost him a lunch or $4 and people like you then also add to higher prices for the community as a whole.
My .02
BTW - I don't know anyone from MycoFactory or have ever ordered from them.
