They're good for walking in.
I almost broke my foot in half trying to skate with them.

OR black

Only problem is these are never in stores, so I have to buy them on ebay most of the time.

The Cortez's remind me of those polished aluminum bus/camper things from the 50s. Unsophisticated, yet timeless. Never be caught dead in one, but you can't help but to look.

chuck's are good, newbalance are better but I love me some low top Nike Airforce ones, I must have owned 30 pairs thus far, and still keep buying new pairs.

While Chucks do kick ass, they offer little or no support for those of us who's feet and ankles aren't in the best of condition.
Sadly, I had to retire my Chucks. I now wear New Balance, for excellent support.

Yeah, Chucks don't have much support anywhere, you need insoles to keep them comfortable after a few months of walking in them.
I still have a pair I wear out frequently, must be at least a year old, scuffed up, everyone comments on them though

I've been wearing Chucks for 7-8 years. Only other shoes I've wore in that period were some shell toes. Oh, and boots occasionally. I always wonder if the lack of support is going to catch up with me later in life.
