deleting browser toolbar messed up internet explorer

Recently I somehow picked up something that added a toolbar to my internet explorer. Ad-aware picked it up and deleted it. The problem is after removing it I can no longer enter anything in a form. For example, I can't log into the Shroomery using internet explorer- I click on the login box and nothing happens, no cursor appears there at all.
I have internet explorer for Win2K, version 6 with SP1. Any ideas on how to repair this?

Uninstall, reinstall.

Trust me, get Firefox
It takes a week of use at most to get used to the switch but you'll be, to use a Dutch expression, "happy as a dog with two dicks".
Most of your sucky issues with the web will be a thing of the past, and you can download hundreds of add-ons to add cool features unheard of in the Microsoft world. Yopu just click another icon to get online, its that simple.

Well first of all I fixed the problem.
Actually, I already have firefox and would probably be using it fulltime except I have spent years accumulating my favorites and don't want to lose them. If I could transfer them somehow I'd probably be using it more because you're right its nice.

Bye bye IE.

FireFox and tabbed browsing have changed how I surf the net. Any time I am on a computer without FireFox, and forced to use IE, it drives me nuts not being able to do things that I can do in FF.
The main thing? - Middle-button click a link to load into a tab in the background. <3
Then handy things like FoxCaster to have the weather in the bottom status bar (far more handy then I ever thought it would be), tabbed browsing, more secure in general (although exploits do pop up here and there, and I am sure there will be more in the future, but they tend to get addressed quickly). RSS bookmarks, and a few other things.
Gooooo FireFox!
