air exchange for LC?

Just wondering if LC needs air exchange?
Say someone has 500ml of LC in a 1L bottle, this gives the LC 500CC of air.
Will this be enough to see it through to full colonization? do people normally give their LC air exchange.
If pf jars need them then I dont see why an LC wouldnt need it to.

You don't need air exchange so to speak, just a small 1/4" or so hole for gases to escape.

Shaking an LC aerates it so that you don't need any type of holes or filters. I only use 2 injection ports and no filters on my jars. Just shaking them daily will work great.

LC TUBE TOPS

Mayo or Miracle Whip jars & plastic lids.
Tubing I use is urine catheter type. But, any small bore rubber vacuum tubing - will work. (4 ft @ auto parts store is about $4)
Use RTV high temp gasket maker/sealant (auto parts store $4)
Drill holes in lid, slightly smaller than tubing. (for snug fit)
Use 1 to 1.5 inch of tubing - half each side. (seal both sides with RTV sealant & cure over-night).
Stuff both tube tops with small wad of polyfil.
Best possible nutrients are. Dry Dextrose & light dry malt. (think home brew beer & wine making supply store) While there, also pick up some calcium carbonate powder)
Tablespoon each D/LDM to full quart of boiling water.
Stir, decant, pour through coffee filters.
Into 2 LC jars 1/2 full - each.
Cover lids with double coffee filters, held down by rubber band.
PC 16 minute's @ 13 to 15 psi, with lids a half or 1/4 turn loose.
Tighten lids after PC'ing.
NOTE, for super clear LC.
PC in open container 16 minutes. Then, filter & jar up (as above) & re-PC.
This will remove any sediments that may caramelize during PC'ing.

PC without the lids on the jars first.
This will cause certain solids to manifest.
STRAIN THESE OUT BEFORE THE SECOND PC PROCESS SO THAT YOUR LC DOESN'T HAVE THEM IN IT.
The second time, put on the lids.
No need to PC the lids twice; they don't have dextrose solids.
