Dealing with Cobweb on horse poo, ..
    #5470837 - 04/02/06 01:37 PM (17 years, 9 months ago)

I went to peek at the progress of a recent double tub grow. My horse manure had been colonizing for about 5 days. I could smell something was a little off. My horse manure has cob web mold growing on it. Pretty much covering 80% of the surface.

I really wanna try to save this tub. And I've heard cob web is actually the easies contam to deal with. I tried to mist the surface with a H202 solution. The cobweb immediately began to dissolve. Today I checked it again. And the cobweb has grown back....fast shit.

Is there anything I can do? Could my Cubensis mycelium kick it's ass in the long run? Is there anything I could do help it out. Maybe continue with the peroxide mistings? Scrap it all off?

Thanks. I hope I can beat this one...I don't wanna lose my tub.

Give it another spurt of H202, then about triple your FAE.
Plenty of FAE is the trick to holding cobweb at bay.

It thrives, when there is little or no FAE.

Ahhh. Makes sense then why I noticed it was the thickest in the corners under the trash bag where I didn't have much gas exchange.

I will probably just see If I can get this one to colonize uncovered.

Thanks agar.
