 Dangers of the Mushroom

I have given a lot of thought to this question and have come up short of an answer. My friend is allergic to mushrooms. I have heard stories of ppl that are allergic to shrooms and eating some, anyway; (psychedelic ones) and coming very close to a full seizure ,or just getting violently sick.
Is there any way for someone with this depresing allergy to get around it and still be able to take shrooms, or is there a way to synth pure crystalite Psilocybin? In which to elminate the nasty factor that someone ill to the fungus.

read the tihkal entry for psilocybin. shulgin has directions for synth of all those chems. not easy though, or i wouldn't imagine it would be

I would be a bit cautious with tea at least. Who knows whether the chemical your friend is allergic for isn't also extracted with the water.... I'd try very, very little at first and gradually increase the dose. Not the most pleasant and efficient way but full seizure/violently sick isn't something I'd ever wanted to do to a friend.
In fact I'd try something else... mushrooms are very nice, but there's still more than enough psychedelics around. Try morning glory seeds, cough sirup, etc...

i don't understand how an allergy would give someone seizures, are you sure that is true? maybe a rash or something,.. or anaphylactic(sp) shock, ie throat closing up, which easily could be deadly without prompt medical care. i doubt making a tea would get around the allergy. if your friend is just feeling "violently ill" it could be that is it all in their head

I have to agree with moxjet20 on this one. Most of the time the people that tell me they are allergic to them just can't handle it, and think they react bad. The onset of the trip for example feels like you have been poisoned because of the effects. I would recommend a smaller dose. I'm not saying it's ok, just that it's probably his imagination.

yes, on the onset i definitely get a 'poisoned' feeling, although i think i would describe it more as drugged. heavily drugged..
anyways, yeah this could easily cause someone inexperienced to become convinced they are allergic to them.

how do i dose it? usually all at once.. a couple times i have eaten more in like an hour but i've never taken less than a dose with the intent of eating the rest in a bit.. why do you ask?

i'm actually allergic to mushrooms... any old kind will do...
but for me it's like a milk allergy... i just get tummy aches and the next day runs...
never heard of more serious ppl.

might i also add that doing mushrooms... magical ones... is food poisoning...
not to mention... don't go picking any random mushroom to eat... they're not ALL magical...
